Warm baths calm fussy babies. An invigorating foot soak helps the day’s stress melt away. Hot and cold baths reduce pain after exercise. Water is one of nature’s oldest healing resources. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to harness those healing abilities to incorporate a drug-free approach to pain, inflammation, and numerous other conditions–without any fancy equipment or tools.
Hydrotherapy or water therapy refers to the use of water for health purposes. The key is knowing which application, and at what temperature, achieves the desired results. The application of hydrotherapy varies from saunas to foot baths, from compresses to hot and cold showers, and from warming socks to full body immersion.
This 4-part workshop covers how to use hydrotherapy for common conditions such as muscle pain, both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, for hemorrhoids, PMS, and in sports medicine. You’ll also receive a PDF download cheat sheet for reference for both temperature and application.
YOU WILL LEARN
- Clinical evidence of hydrotherapy effects
- Contraindications for certain applications and temperatures
- Immersion vs local application
- Systematic effects of multiple methods of hydrotherapy
- Hydrotherapy and immune function
